31st Japan-EU Parliamentary Meeting

The Preparatory meeting for the 31st Japan-EU Parliamentary meeting was held on the 9th of December in Brussels.
The Japanese delegation was headed by Dr. Wakako Hironaka, Member of House of Councilｌors and former Minister for Environment and had a fruitful meeting with their counterparts who were chaired by Mr. Johannes Cornelius van Baalen MEP, Chair of Delegation for Relations with Japan.
A delegation of five members of the Japanese diet also paid a short courtesy call on European Parliament President Mr. Buzek and enjoyed in depth discussion with Vice President Mr. Roucek, INTA chair Professor Moreira as well as Mr. Leinen, Chair of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, among others.
The 31st annual Japan-EU Parliamentary meeting is to be held in Brussels next spring.
